                                                      Roger Bannister
the excellence achieved by roger bannister was that he ran the mile in less then 4 minutes. which at that age was im[possible and still today they are less people capable of running it in less than 4 minutes. his time was 3:59.4 sec.

this excellence was achieved by training himself how to run and never giving up ,yet he was also a physician and doctor . which he had a short period of time to practice his run. but that didn't let his hope down, at his free time he will run until he was ready to run in the olympics.

technology would have impacted his arete experience if he would of ignore the world and be on his phone. but yet he did not, he put all electronics away and started training to complete his goal.

my reflection about this arete experience is tremendous because he though it wouldn't be done but yet he try and try until he accomplish his goals. everyone though he was crazy to run 1 mile in less then 4 minutes but he didnt let that bring him down. and after all he complete his goal.

                                             prosthetic eye

    this innovation consist of
  • oval, whitish outer shell finished to duplicate the white color of the other eye
  • round, central portion painted to look like the iris and pupil of the other eye.
  • and this could help improve the appearance  of a person who's eye were remove due to an injury or disease.

I believe this technology will impact everyone because know we know what technology is capable of. I believe this will impact our wounded soldiers that have been injury and lost an eye. this will improve every person self-stem knowing that now there's ways of improving the appearance if they lost an eye.

the problems that will solve are those patients that suffer from self-stem as well with an injury that cost them to lose the eye.
I think this innovation will help a lot of people but most important will improve there self-stem and appearance.

                                                         Mikaele Oloa

his excellence achieved was becoming the 2005 and 2006 world fire knife dance champion in laie,HI. at the age of 15,he is still the youngest competitor to have ever won the title for his accomplishment.

his excellence was achieved at the age of 5 when he began training with his father ,isitolo. Mikaele was the third child of evelyn and Isitolo oloa. he began dancing at a young age.

technology impacted his carrier by showing the media what he was capable of . without technology i believe that no one around the world would have ever known his skills. his an aretee person because he never gave up his dreams no matter what people had told him.

my reflection about this person is that i have never seen a dedicated persopn doing what he likes which is being a fire knife dancer which is dangerouse but to him is just a great carrier to be persuinig. he got his degree in arts but he knew it wasnt for him so he decided to persude his fathers footsteps

                                                                 false teeth
this innovation is made from human or animal teeth. this are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth. Modern dentures are most often fabricated in a commercial dental laboratory or by a denturist using a combination of tissue shaded powders polymethylmethacrylate acrylic (PMMA). These acrylics are available as heat cured or cold cured types. The process of fabricating a denture usually begins with an initial dental impression of the maxillary and mandibular ridges.

this will impact atheltes that had lost their teeth and also patients that are missing some of their tooth and are able to get them replaced.this will mostly impact every human little as 8 years old to 60+.

this device will solve a lot of problems for example peoples self-stem will be recover. Also mastication, which is the ability to improve chewing by replacing edentulous areas with denture teeth.

i think this innovation will help a lot of patients with low self stem due to lost of their teeth. i beliave this innovation is good because a lot of people now a days are losing their teeth due to much cabery or diseases.

                                      artificial heart

         * the innovation i will be researching will be the artificial heart which functions almost the same as the real heart by providing blood to pump through our body.

    * this innovation will impact people with heart failiar . mostly people that are waiting for a transplant  but if  not provided they could leave the artificial heart. which will function as the real one.

    * the problem that will solve are those patients that have heart disease or they need a transplant. this will hopefully reduced the death of love ones. this will also solve the problem of time running. this means that if a patient needs a transplant as soon as possible they could install the artificial heart mean while they find a real one.

i think this innovation will help thousands of people world wide. also i belive that with this technology less people will have to suffer from losing their love ones due to heart infection or disease.

The chaper 3 blown to bits is mostly talking about how the us soldier were able to hide  important information about why they struck gunfire to italian journalist giuliana after she was release from captivity in baghdad , were she was held hostage for a month. The americans stated that they gunfire the car because her driver was speeding without stopping. And therefor they hide the reality when they were told to send the summary of the accident trough a electronic document that was type through pfa files which gives the writer the highlight tool to use. Americans as they were typing there report they use that tool to hide the truth. Upon further information they were able to make a conclution that it wasnt what it seem . Electronic documents or any sort of tool thats used with computer coding are able to hide or even delete sensitive information that has been gather.

       u.s military drone

One of the first recoded usage of drones was 0n  Austrians in august 22,1849. They launched some 200 pilotless balloons mounted with bombs against the city of Venice. Less than two decades later in the U.S. Civil war.
    1.       Drones were invented to  provide war managers with intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance in order to be successful in battle. Drones are airplanes that are control by remote to provide a smaller and yet hidden object to spy on the enemy without reviling its position.
    2) This is impacting the   U.S. national security strategy, which has switched from counterinsurgency in the city to counterterrorism from the skies. This drone provides surveillance .
    3) the problem that will solve will be the danger of our soldiers. With this drones there able to gather insurgents activity in the streets and warn our soldiers.

    4) I believe that this innovation is great because it will save a lot of lives  and also will eliminate the threats that our soldier can’t. for example there are drones that are able to disarm bombs without putting the people  in danger,

They also opened Carl's Jr.Their restaurant quickly grew and they opened several more restaurants, numbering 100 by 1974 and more than 300 by 1981.
    • this excellence was achieved when they open their first business, a hot dog stand, on July 17, 1941 in Los Angeles, California when they borrowed $311 against their Plymouth automobile and added $15 from Margaret's purse. the stand usually sold hot dogs and mexican food.  On January 16, 1945, they opened their first restaurant, Carl's Drive-In Barbecue
    • technology impacted their life by being able to succed in life.technology was what it created the food stand and soon lead them to open their own restaurant. also because of technology they were able to promoted their restaurant in social media and billboards. Image result for carl & margaret karcherImage result for carl & margaret karcher

                                                  current innovation

                                DARPA'S prosthetic arm

    A. the innovation i chose are DARPA'S latest version of a prosthetic hand that uses neurotechnology do make the patient feel agien that stuff it touches. prostetic arms get attach to your limps that has been destroy or damage. this helps the person self-steem as well as making them fell what they touch.

    B. this will impact patients that have been in a accident or got their limbs damage. this new prosthetic arm will help a lot of our soldiers that had their limbs destroy by granades, etc. I believe this new innovation will impact the whole world as well by making us understand how far in thecnology we had gotten.

    C. this innovation will solve any problem that has to be with people's limbs not functioning or been destroy. also with this new version of DARPA'S prosthetic arms i think it will make the patient happy knowing that they will be able to have a felling sensation once more.

in my own opinion this innovation is great for people that unfortunatly have lost their limbs but have a chance of recovering the sensation of touch. i believe this been the greatest invvation due to patients that have suicidal thoughts due of losing their feeling of touch and limbs.
