                                            Mia Hamm

  1. mia's excellence was achieved At the age of 15, Hamm was the youngest soccer player to play for the national team. Mia Hamm is largely considered the best female soccer player in history. By the age of 19 Hamm was the youngest teammember in history to win the World Cup

2. this excellence was achieved by when she was little she would always practice football and by the age of 15 she competed on the soccer national team.

           Luke Aikins
  1. Luke’s achieved excellence when he became a professional skydiver and a photographer.

2. This excellence was achieved when he began to skydive at age 12 and was the first person to dive from mid-tropospheric altitude and land safely without a parachute.

                                           computer science innovation

15 current computer science innovations:

  • Internet, broadband, WWW

  • PC/laptop computers
  • Office software
  • Media file compression
  • open source software and services
  • graphic user interface
  • Digital photography / videography
  • ATMs
  • Social networking via the Internet
  • Magnetic resonance imaging
  • Microprocessors
  • Non-invasive laser/robotic surgery
  • liquid crystal display
  • gps system
  • fiber optic
  • A: my innovation i'm writing about is the liquid crystal display  LCDs allow displays to be much thinner than cathode ray tube. as a grid of conductors with pixels located at each intersection in the grid. A current is sent across two conductors on the grid to control the light for any pixel. lcd display two sheet of polarizing material with a liquid crystal solution between them.An electric current passed through the liquid causes the crystals to align so that light cannot passe through them.Eachcrystal, therefore, is like shutter, either allowing light to pass through or blocking the light.
B: this innovation has help million of people because without the lcd we  wouldn't be able to see images in our electronics. the liquid crystal display helps reduce the black and white to produces a more clear image.
